North-East Regional Development Agency stimulates and supports the exploitation of regional potential .We are a non-governmental, non-profit, public utility organization with legal personality, which contributes to reducing regional disparities by stimulating the economic, social and cultural development of the North-East Region. All the steps taken by our organization converge towards increasing the level of prosperity of the region and increasing the quality of life among the inhabitants. Therefore, the entire activity of NERDA is at the service of the general public – the inhabitants of the North-East Region.
The European Digital Learning Network – DLEARN – is a non-profit association aiming to embrace the challenges brought by the digital transformation in terms of digital skills mismatch and digital learning opportunities. The 47% of Europeans is not properly digitally skilled, yet in the near future, 90% of jobs will require some level of digital skills. We believe in the value of SHARING, CONNECTING, MULTIPLYING and ENHANCING the potential of our members, local territories and people. Access to digital tools and technologies offers countless opportunities, but can also constitute a barrier for participation in social and economic life and can as well presents with new kinds of threats. The potential of digitalisation, therefore, needs to be analysed and understood in order to achieve social and economic progress.
The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is an independent, voluntary public organization (a non-profit organization) set up to support, promote, represent and protect the economic interests of its members and to promote market and economic relations for European and international integration the region and the country.
The membership in RCCI is voluntary. The membership includes representatives of large, small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and businesses, organizations working to support the business.
RCCI supports the achievements of the region’s companies by providing them with a wide range of modern business services and applying a flexible policy to defend the individual and collective interests of businesses in the region. The main objectives of the Chamber are:
(1) The Chamber represents, protects, encourages and assists its members in optimizing the business conditions in the country and the region.
(2) The Chamber represents and defends the united interests of its members before the local authorities, but through the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – before the central bodies of state power and government as well as other local and foreign international organizations with which the Chamber directly or through the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Sofia maintains partnerships
(3) The Chamber encourages and assists its members to develop their potential and to increase their opportunities for participation it, and in international markets.
The Chamber enjoys authority in the field of business services, both at regional, national and international level.
The main priorities of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry are:
Establishment of the Chamber as the leading and unifying organization supporting the development of the business region
Strengthening the role of the Chamber in the field of regional development of the Ruse Region and North Central Panning Region
Strengthening the lobbying functions of the Chamber and effective interaction with the local government structures as well as central government through the BCCI system to achieve a favorable economic environment for business
Optimization and improvement effectiveness of chamber business support
More active participation of RCCI in national and international programs for financing and business support
EUROGEO, the European Association of Geographers, is a membership-based professional society governed by an elected Presidium. It operates mainly within Europe but increasingly has an international / global remit.
EUROGEO is concerned with the effective use of open geographic information and to use this to contribute to areas such as demography and migration, sustainability, economic development and urban and rural challenges, hazards, landscape, poverty, democracy and citizen engagement.
EUROGEO promotes the importance of geographical education and spatial thinking as a contribution towards the development of a better understanding of our world and therefore global citizenship. By doing so, EUROGEO encourages the development of a greater global awareness through the medium of geography and an increase in mutual knowledge and understanding.
EUROGEO, in affiliation with other organisations, has produced a large number of publications and has organised geography conferences, meetings and workshops on a regular basis. Representatives of national and regional professional educational associations have been actively involved in EUROGEO.
EUROGEO also supports those seeking to establish or organise national geography associations and those that promote geography as an academic discipline and geographers in the workplace.
It is clear that spatial skills and geographical information are increasingly important especially in Cloud-based, open data environments. The roles that geography and geographers play are being challenged by these new geo-opportunities. Those involved with EUROGEO are seeking to monitor, support and promote these developments.
